The Math Science Teacher Partnership (MSTP) is a grant from the Minnesota Department of Education to improve teacher confidence and competence with the Minnesota Academic Standards in Mathematics and Science. South Central Service Cooperative (SCSC) is partnering with Gustavus Adolphus College, Hamline University and Blue Earth Area Schools to develop and deliver quality professional development for area teachers.
This year math teachers of grades 5-8 will focus on the algebra standards. Science modules will also be developed for next year's focus on "The Nature of Science and Engineering" standard for grades 3-6. Math modules will also be developed for next year based on the needs of our region.
